WordPress Website Maintenance Specialist

Position Type: Part Time
Location: Remote or hybrid at our Portsmouth, NH office
Hours: 10-15 hours/week. Days of week and time of day are negotiable but work must be done between hours of 9am to 5pm, Eastern Time.

As a Website Maintenance Specialist you will be an integral part of our web development team. Your primary focus will be to lead our team with ongoing maintenance and updates to client websites. This is not a design-related position, however you will be working with a group of talented web developers and designers, and your work will be essential to the ongoing success of the agency.


The Graphic Details team is a diverse group of animal advocates, musicians, DIYers, car enthusiasts, crafters, and all-around wizards. General Duties Include:

• Point of contact for all clients regarding questions and requests for site updates

• Day-to-day responsibilities include posting web updates for clients including structural changes via edits to CSS, Elementor, or themes and/or plugins to extend site functionality

• Participate in creating web-based applications and websites, working as part of a team from architecture and design through development, testing, and deployment

• Troubleshoot issues that may arise with websites built in WordPress content management systems with Elementor

• Add visual, text, and SEO content to sites during site builds

• QA testing during and after site builds

• Be a team visionary: research and test interactive technology that could be used in client campaigns. Effectively communicate your vision to the team for consideration and adoption into a project or service

• Track and report effectiveness of site builds through Google Analytics

• Act as a liaison with SEO teams

• Evaluate third-party plugins for functionality, accessibility, security, and maintainability

• Train clients on fundamentals of WordPress/Elementor CMS.

• Create training documentation (print and video) to assist clients with site editing process

Technical Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of effective web design and user experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Expertise in managing WordPress website environments, themes, content, and plugins
  • Knowledge of Elementor website builder
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics setup and ongoing reporting
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines, work independently and with others, and exercise judgment
  • Experience training people with varied levels of technical expertise

Location:

  • Remote OR hybrid 1-2 days a week at Downtown Portsmouth, NH office.
